Heres another sight you won't want to miss in Queensland ..
There are not actually very many specialist motorcycle museums in Australia. You can count the ones we know about, anyway, on the fingers of your hands and have at least the thumbs spare ...
So it’s with great pleasure that we welcome another one, this time in Queensland. The Australian Motorcycle Museum is on 35 acres at Haigslea, 50km west of Brisbane on the Warrego Highway on the way to Toowoomba, and we’ll take a look at it as soon as we get the chance.
The purpose-built venue contains a collection of 180 motorcycles, ranging from 1922 bikes through to present-day models and covering a wide selection of brands and bikes from around the world.

The owners, Allen and Lorraine Smith, have spent many years and travelled extensively overseas to compile this collection of special interest, vintage, veteran and classic bikes.
Included in the displays are Norton rotaries, an R12, R90S, K1, R60 and R27 from BMW, a BSA Gold Star, Vincent Rapide, Munch Mammoth, Benellis including a 750, 900 Sei and Tornado, a Bimota DB1, several Rotaries including a Hercules and a Suzuki RE5, a Voxon, a Silk and even — wait for it — a Sinclair C5!
The project is anything but finished. The search for more bikes is an ongoing project and even now plans are being hatched to increase the size of the display area by extending the building.

And you can’t miss it, either, especially if you have a GPS unit. Just turn left (GPS 27°34.09’/152°37.32’) beside the Sundowner Hotel into Butlers Road and the entrance (GPS 27°34.14’/152°37.21’) is approximately 100 metres along.
