Ducati Collezione 100 marks 100 years of the Borgo Panigale brand with 10 limited-edition models.
The Ducati Collezione 100 – 10 limited-edition Ducati models – has been revealed to celebrate 100 years of the Borgo Panigale brand.
Presented at Mugello ahead of the Italian MotoGP round, the Ducati Collezione 100 includes 10 contemporary Ducati models, each inspired by a significant motorcycle from Ducati’s past. Production of each model will be limited to just 100 numbered units worldwide.
The collection includes the Panigale V4 S 100, Panigale V2 S 100, Streetfighter V4 S 100, Monster 100, XDiavel V4 100, Diavel V4 RS 100, Multistrada V4 RS 100, Scrambler 100, Hypermotard V2 SP 100 and DesertX 100.
Each bike features a unique historic-inspired livery, along with special details including Alcantara or leather seats with embroidered Ducati 100 logos, Centenario Bronze brake calipers, matching fuel-cap details and a numbered plate fitted to the steering head, billet triple clamp or handlebar clamps, depending on the model.
The Panigale V4 S 100 draws inspiration from the 750 Imola Desmo, the bike that carried Paul Smart and Bruno Spaggiari to Ducati’s famous 1972 Imola 200 victory. It features carbon-fibre bodywork components, a titanium and carbon-fibre Akrapovič exhaust, dry clutch, open clutch cover and track-use mirror and licence-plate removal kits.
The Panigale V2 S 100 takes its livery from the 1975 750 Super Sport Desmo ridden by Franco Uncini, while the Streetfighter V4 S 100 is inspired by the black-and-gold 900 Sport Desmo Darmah of 1979.
The Monster 100 references the 2008 Monster S4Rs Tricolore, a model Ducati describes as a final edition of the first-generation Monster, while the XDiavel V4 100 takes its inspiration from Cook Neilson’s 1977 Daytona-winning 750 Super Sport “California Hot Rod”.
The Diavel V4 RS 100 is based on the Diavel V4 RS and wears a livery inspired by the 1979 900 Replica, which followed Ducati’s 1978 Isle of Man TT success. The Multistrada V4 RS 100 takes its cues from the 1979 500 SL Pantah, while the Scrambler 100 is inspired by the 1962 250 Scrambler produced for the US market.
The Hypermotard V2 SP 100 references Ducati’s 860 “24 Horas de Montjuïc” endurance racer, and the DesertX 100 is inspired by the unusual Pantah “Ice” bikes used on ice tracks in the early 1980s.
Each Collezione 100 bike will be supplied with a dedicated rear stand finished in matching colours, a bike cover and a certificate of authenticity. The dashboard on each model also features a dedicated ignition ceremony.
Owners will also be able to complete the look with a limited-edition helmet and technical jacket finished in matching colours, although Ducati says availability will vary by country.
Ducati has also linked the Collezione 100 with the art world. Italian artist Ugo Nespolo has created two numbered art prints for each model, both bearing the same serial number as the motorcycle and signed by Nespolo.
The Ducati Lenovo MotoGP team will also run a special livery at Mugello, combining the graphics of the 10 Collezione 100 bikes into one design on the DesmosediciGP machines of Marc Marquez and Pecco Bagnaia.
Ducati says the next public showing of the Collezione 100 will be at World Ducati Week, held at Misano from 3–5 July, before the bikes appear at the Goodwood Festival of Speed and later return to Bologna for display in museums across the region.
