HONDA 2026 LINE-UP FOR AUSTRALIA

The Honda 2026 line-up for Australia has been revealed and there are some great bikes in the pipeline.

The Honda 2026 line-up has been announced following the brand’s international unveiling at EICMA in Milan. The highlights include the all-new CB1000GT sports tourer, a major expansion of Honda’s E-Clutch technology, and confirmation that several new models are under evaluation for the Australian market.

CB1000GT: High-Performance Touring Arrives

Built on the CB1000 Hornet platform, the new CB1000GT blends Fireblade-derived performance with long-distance comfort and capability. Honda calls it the “ultimate High Performance Tourer”, offering a potent mix of power, comfort and range suited to Australia’s sweeping open roads.

“We are excited to be able to announce that Australian riders will soon be able to experience the thrills of Honda’s all-new CB1000GT,” said Chris Schultz, General Manager – Powersports and Products at Honda Australia. “The CB1000GT brings incredible power from the CBR1000RR Fireblade, mixed with increased comfort and range.”

The CB1000GT will be offered in Grand Prix Red, with pricing, full specifications and accessories to be announced closer to launch.

E-Clutch Expands Across More Models

Honda’s innovative E-Clutch system – which automates clutch operation while retaining manual shift control – will expand across three more models for 2026. The NX500, CB750 Hornet and XL750 Transalp will all gain the system, bringing E-Clutch capability to the LAMS, naked, adventure and sports-touring segments.

The E-Clutch allows riders to start, stop and shift gears without using the clutch lever, delivering smoother, faster changes than a quickshifter while maintaining the option of manual control.

According to Honda, around two-thirds of Australian buyers have chosen the E-Clutch option on the CB650R and CBR650R models, underlining the technology’s growing popularity.

“This demonstrates that customers truly want both the freedom to ride in the way that suits their mindset best – whether they are starting their learning journey or maximising the bike’s performance,” said Schultz. “We are excited to extend this technology to more riders across more segments in 2026.”

Honda also confirmed that two all-new models are being evaluated for the Australian market:

  • WN7 – the brand’s first full-size electric motorcycle, based on the EV FUN concept prototype.

  • CB1000F – a retro naked model derived from the CB1000 Hornet platform.

Both are currently under consideration for local release.

Australian Availability

The CB1000GT is expected to arrive in early 2026, with updated Hornet, Transalp, and Gold Wing models to follow mid-year. Pricing and final specifications for each model will be confirmed closer to launch.

“We believe it will be an exciting year for motorcycle fans in 2026,” Schultz added. “Many models will be launched with new features and technologies, and we can’t wait to bring these innovative products to Australian riders.”

Honda’s 2026 line-up mixes performance and innovation with a nod to tradition. From the Fireblade-powered CB1000GT to the expanding E-Clutch range – and the hint of electric and retro newcomers – 2026 looks set to be a big year for the brand in Australia.
