Savic Motorcycles Appoints Marc Alexander as CEO
Savic Motorcycles has announced the appointment of experienced technology executive Marc Alexander as its new chief executive officer, as the Australian electric motorcycle manufacturer prepares for a major growth phase in 2026.
Alexander brings more than 25 years of experience across enterprise growth, electric vehicle systems, autonomous platforms, IoT, and consumer and automotive technology, including involvement in multiple global scale-ups. Savic says his appointment comes at a pivotal moment for the brand, with international expansion and increased manufacturing capability firmly in its sights.
The leadership change follows the successful completion of a $2 million strategic funding round, providing capital to support the company’s next stage of development, including international market entry and production expansion.

Founder Remains Closely Involved
Savic founder Dennis Savic will remain an integral part of the business, continuing in his role on the company’s Board of Directors and working closely with the executive team on strategic initiatives.
“We’ve built Savic Motorcycles from the ground up, taking a bold idea and turning it into a world-class electric motorcycle company,” Savic said. “With new capital, new infrastructure and growing global demand, this is the right time for an experienced leader like Marc to guide the company through its next chapter.”
Savic added that Alexander had already demonstrated his ability to lead and scale technology-focused businesses from Australia, making the timing of the appointment critical as the company accelerates its plans.

Production and Global Expansion Plans
While full production of the Savic C-Series will continue at the company’s West Melbourne headquarters, Savic Motorcycles is also progressing plans for an owned powertrain sub-assembly facility in Taizhou, scheduled to commence operations in December 2025.
The facility is expected to play a key role in increasing global production capacity, improving supply chain efficiency and supporting expansion into international markets, including Europe, while final assembly remains in Australia.
Looking Ahead
Alexander said he was excited to take on the role at a time when Savic is transitioning from start-up to global brand.
“I’ve long admired Dennis’ tenacity and drive to bring his vision to life,” Alexander said. “To now build on those foundations and help grow Savic into a global brand is a rare opportunity. With the depth of expertise already within the business, I’m looking forward to introducing the C-Series to riders worldwide and positioning Australia as a serious player in EV motorcycle technology.”
Savic Motorcycles confirmed its broader executive team remains in place, with the leadership group now supported by a growing base of strategic investment partners as the company prepares for its next phase of growth.
