Honda on top for Australian motorcycle sales in 2025, publishes rare model-by-model figures.
Honda Australia has been confirmed as Australia’s top-selling two-wheel motorcycle brand for 2025, following the release of full-year sales data by the Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries (FCAI). An earlier story published on the ARR website listed Yamaha as the number one brand in 2025 (with Honda second and Kawasaki third), but those figures included four-wheel off-highway vehicles (OHVs).
Honda recorded 21,901 two-wheel motorcycle sales across the calendar year, securing the number-one motorcycle brand position overall. The result represents a 10 per cent year-on-year increase and a 2.7 per cent gain in market share compared with 2024, despite what the brand describes as challenging market conditions.

Notably, Honda has also published actual model-by-model sales figures, something rarely seen from FCAI member brands in recent years. With non-FCAI brands such as CFMOTO and Royal Enfield not releasing equivalent data, Honda’s transparency stands out in a market where detailed sales breakdowns have largely disappeared.
Honda finished 2025 as the number-one brand across five motorcycle categories: Agriculture, Fun, Trail, Scooter and Naked. It also claimed the top-selling model in five categories, led by the CRF110F, which finished as Australia’s best-selling motorcycle overall with 5310 units sold.

Five Honda models featured in the national top 10 two-wheel sales list for 2025:
-
CRF110F – 1st (5310 units)
-
CRF50F – 2nd (3004 units)
-
CRF250F – 7th (1667 units)
-
CRF125FB – 9th (1255 units)
-
CBR650R – 10th (1222 units)
Honda also led individual categories with the XR190CT (Agriculture), CRF110F and CRF50F (Fun), CRF250F and CRF300L (Trail), Navi (Scooter) and CBR650R (Super Sport).

Honda Australia General Manager – Powersports and Products Chris Schultz said the results reflected strong dealer support and the brand’s continued focus on off-road riders.
“The result across such a broad range of categories reflects a strong commitment to customers to provide a comprehensive and competitive suite of models aligned to the needs of riders across Australia,” Schultz said.
Honda has flagged further momentum in 2026, with key model updates, new releases and an expanded rollout of its e-Clutch technology expected throughout the year.
