TRIUMPH TRACKER AND THRUXTON 400 MODELS

Triumph has expanded its 400cc range with the addition of new Tracker and Thruxton models.

Triumph Motorcycles has expanded its 400cc lineup with two all-new models for 2026, unveiling the flat track-inspired Tracker 400 and the café racer-styled Thruxton 400. Both bikes sit alongside the existing Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 models and are powered by an updated version of Triumph’s TR-Series single-cylinder engine.

The revised 398cc engine delivers a claimed 31kW (42hp) at 9000rpm, representing a five per cent increase in peak power thanks to internal updates including a revised camshaft profile and new engine tune. Triumph says the engine also benefits from a higher rev limit and stronger top-end performance, while retaining the same torque figure of 37.5Nm, with most of that available from low rpm.

Tracker 400

The Tracker 400 marks Triumph’s first production flat track-inspired model and features a more upright, aggressive riding position than the Speed 400. A wide handlebar, repositioned footpegs and a dedicated chassis aim to give the bike a commanding stance and sharper handling.

Suspension consists of a 43mm upside-down fork with 140mm of travel up front and a preload-adjustable rear monoshock offering 130mm of travel. Braking is handled by a four-piston radial caliper, while Pirelli MT60 RS tyres complete the flat track look.

Styling highlights include a boxy fuel tank, number board, flyscreen, seat cowl and newly styled wheels, with classic Triumph design cues carried through in the engine detailing and round LED headlight. The Tracker 400 has a seat height of 805mm and comes fitted with ride-by-wire throttle, switchable traction control and ABS.

The Tracker 400 will be available in Racing Yellow, Phantom Black and Aluminium Silver Gloss, and is priced from $9990 rideaway, with Australian deliveries expected from March 2026.

Thruxton 400

The Thruxton name returns in the form of the new Thruxton 400, a modern interpretation of Triumph’s long-running café racer heritage. It features clip-on handlebars, rear-set footpegs and a more forward-leaning riding position designed to deliver a sportier feel.

Compared to the Speed 400, the clip-ons are 40mm narrower and 246mm lower, while the footpegs are positioned 86mm further back and 27mm higher. Suspension is tuned for sharper response, with a 43mm upside-down fork offering 135mm of travel and a preload-adjustable rear monoshock with 130mm of wheel travel. Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tyres underline the bike’s road-focused intent.

Design features include a sculpted fuel tank with Triumph badge, compact fairing housing a round LED headlight, bullet-style seat cowl and a shortened rear end. The Thruxton 400 is offered in several colour options, including Carnival Red, Pearl Metallic White with Storm Grey, and Metallic Racing Yellow.

Like the Tracker, the Thruxton 400 comes equipped with ride-by-wire throttle, switchable traction control, torque-assist clutch and ABS, along with an analogue speedometer paired with an LCD tachometer display and USB-C charging port.

The Thruxton 400 will arrive in Australian showrooms from February 2026, priced from $10,390 rideaway.
