2026 YAMAHA TÉNÉRÉ RALLY

2026 Yamaha Ténéré Rally set for NSW South Coast adventure.

Yamaha Motor Australia has announced the 2026 Ténéré Rally, a five-day adventure ride along the spectacular NSW South Coast, with the GPS-navigation event set to start and finish in Batemans Bay in May.

Open to all Yamaha Ténéré models regardless of year, the rally brings together owners of the brand’s iconic adventure bike for a fully supported ride through some of the region’s most scenic coastal and forest terrain. The route will take riders along the Sapphire Coast and include overnight stops in Bermagui, Eden and Bega.

The event is organised by RideADV, with trail specialist Greg Yager and his team designing a route that traverses lush forests, climbs ridgelines and delivers expansive ocean views. The rally follows a GPS-navigation format, allowing participants to ride at their own pace while their luggage is transported separately between overnight stops.

Each day offers riders a choice between standard trails or more challenging special routes, ensuring the event caters to a wide range of skill levels and riding experience.

Beyond the riding, the rally also focuses heavily on community, with riders able to share stories, compare bike setups and connect with fellow Ténéré enthusiasts. Yamaha legend Stephen Gall will attend as a special guest and will present each participant with a copy of his autobiography, No Easy Way – The Stephen Gall Story, which can be signed during the event.

The Aussie Adventure Bike TV team will also be present to film the rally for an upcoming episode of the Channel 7Mate program.

Additional support will be provided by a Yamaha GP technician for technical assistance and Dunlop tyre support throughout the rally. Prizes will also be awarded for categories such as best bike and longest distance travelled.

The 2026 Yamaha Ténéré Rally offers adventure riders the chance to explore the Sapphire Coast while enjoying the camaraderie of fellow Ténéré owners in a fully supported environment.
