MOTOREX V-SYNT 4T ENGINE OIL
Motorex has developed a new fully synthetic oil engineered specifically for the demands of today’s high-revving, high-temperature V-twin and V4 motorcycles. Called V-SYNT 4T it is available in 15W50 and 20W50 viscosity grades.
V-SYNT 4T 15W50 is said to feature special hydrocarbon compounds in the additives to ensure the lubricating film remains at low temperatures and when the engine is hot at peak revs. Motorex claims the oil ensures consistent power delivery and top-tier wear protection in all temperatures, and that it’s suitable for use in the latest generation Harley-Davidson Revolution Max and Ducati engines requiring fully synthetic oil. It meets JASO MA2 standards, making it ideal for wet multi-disc clutches.
V-SYNT 4T 20W50 has been tailor made to suit modern Harley-Davidson V-Twins and other big cruisers. Motorex says this viscosity grade nails the lubrication applications for Motor, Transmission & Primary Drive (MTP), and keeps oil consumption in check thanks to its low Noack volatility. Advanced additives are claimed to ensure great wear protection and shear stability, while the synthetic base provides excellent lubrication and high-temperature protection. This oil also meets JASO MA2 standards.

KRIEGA ROLLPACKS
Unlike traditional single-skin plastic-welded rollpacks, Kriega Rollpacks feature a double-skinned Drypack design with a UV-resistant Cordura outer and a 100 per cent waterproof internal liner. The benefit? If the Cordura outer is ever damaged (and Kriega says it takes a lot to cut through the heavy-duty material) there’s still a second waterproof skin inside to keep all of your gear clean and dry.
The waterproof internal liner is removable, so it can be washed and easily refitted, or replaced relatively inexpensively, and while it might seem impractical for this liner to be white, Kriega says this colour was intentionally chosen to make it easier to find things in the bag than if the liner was dark.
Kriega Rollpacks feature integrated heavy-duty webbing straps with aircraft-spec alloy hardware. The straps are easily secured thanks to cam buckles, then tied-up with Velcro tidies. Subframe loops are included and the Rollpack’s straps hook back on themselves, so you can mount the bag to just about any bike. It can also be secured to a Kriega OS base or just about any other luggage system.
The simple tube design of these Rollpacks makes them ideally suited to carrying bulky items such as sleeping bags, tents and jackets, and they roll up very small when not in use so they can be stowed in a backpack or pannier when not needed. The double entry to the Rollpacks also means they can be rolled down to a smaller size when they’re not full, yet still be securely strapped to the bike.
Kriega Rollpacks are available in 20-litre and 40-litre sizes, and in five different colours: Black, Lime, Orange, Coyote and MultiCam Black. They are covered by Kriega’s 10-year warranty.

FABIO TAGLIONI – DESIGNER OF DUCATI LEGENDS
Alan Cathcart has written a new book on Fabio Taglioni, who was the Technical Director of Ducati, its Direttore Tecnico, for 30 years and was responsible for all manner of engine designs ranging from single-cylinder lightweights to a massive V-four and especially the bevel drive 90-degree V-twins for which he will probably be best remembered.
For the whole of his career, Taglioni held the racetrack to be the finest proving ground available for the development of successive families of Ducati models, as well as the demonstration of their worth. His bevel-drive V-twin models of the 1970s are proof positive of that reasoning. They were the mainstay of the Ducati range for the whole of that decade, and scored many memorable race successes, such as Paul Smart’s and Bruno Spaggiari’s dominant 1-2 victory in the prestigious 1972 Imola 200, and the now legendary Isle of Man TT comeback victory by the late, great Mike Hailwood in 1978. Personal recollections of their Ducati successes by both Hailwood and Smart provide chapters of this wide-ranging book.
Fabio Taglioni – Designer of Ducati Legends is a 232-page book with more than 200 photographs, most of which are in full colour. They range from historic factory archive material to modern digital photography commissioned especially for this title.
Ducati’s history and Taglioni’s personal story are covered in-depth along with detailed information on his most famous machines. All of Taglioni’s seminal designs are featured in-depth in this book: single-cylinder, parallel twins, V-twins and even a pair of experimental four-cylinder prototypes – the giant Apollo V-four of 1964 and the Bi-Pantah, his final such design which never made it into production.
Alan Cathcart was fortunate to enjoy unparalleled access to the Ducati factory and to Fabio Taglioni on a personal basis during the last decade of his tenure as Ducati Meccanica’s Direttore Tecnico, making this book a special read for any motorcycle enthusiast.

The Aeron’s A2S adaptive aero system features anti-pressure technology on the neck. Shark claims an 80 per cent reduction in forces affecting the axial direction, a 50 per cent reduction in turbulence at high speeds in a straight line, and a five per cent reduction in aerodynamic drag.
The helmet is constructed from a COVA (Carbon On View and Aramid) composite material and features ventilation with five air inlets, a double-D retention system, a quick-release visor, antimicrobial liner and a variety of cheek pad sizes. It comes with a dark-smoke tinted anti-fog visor, five tear-offs, a bag and a helmet cover.
