Voluntary Safety Recall – AGV TOURMODULAR

AGV Helmet distributor Link International has issued a voluntary safety recall on the AGV Tourmodular Helmet.

“Full-faced motorcycle helmet equipped with a chin bar that has the ability to “flipup”. Starting serial number 062004/PJ located on chin strap.

Reason the product is recalled

The chin guard plate may, over time, break.

The hazards to consumers

In circumstances where the chin guard plate breaks, if the user does not follow the instructions in the helmet’s user safety manual to ensure helmet is securely fastened prior to riding a motorcycle, the user could potentially ride a motorcycle with a broken chin guard plate fastened that does not properly secure the helmet. A helmet that is not properly secured may not remain properly secure on a user’s head during an accident, which increases the risk of severe injury or death.
