YAMAHA AND MOTOSCHOOL YZF-R9 FLEET AT SMSP

Yamaha and MotoSchool lift R-Experience with YZF-R9 hire fleet and Sydney customer day.

Yamaha and MotoSchool have expanded their partnership for 2026, headlined by the launch of an all-new YZF-R9 hire bike fleet and an exclusive Yamaha Customer Day at Sydney Motorsport Park.

Building on the success of the 2025 program, the brands say the expanded partnership reflects a long-term commitment to rider education, community and accessibility, while introducing what Yamaha describes as one of the most significant developments in Australian rider training to date.

R-Experience: performance without barriers

At the heart of the 2026 program is MotoSchool’s R-Experience, a premium track-based immersion designed to give riders access to Yamaha’s high-performance R-series platform in a structured, professional, race-inspired environment.

Anchored by the new YZF-R9, Yamaha says the R-Experience is intended to be a true brand experience rather than a simple rental fleet setup. Each bike is fitted with a GYTR Akrapovič titanium race exhaust system and prepared to professional standards, with tyre options including Dunlop race slicks for advanced training or Dunlop treaded slick track day tyres for high-performance road-based track riding.

MotoSchool’s training environment will also integrate Yamalube oils and maintenance products, Yamaha racing components from the GYTR range, Akrapovič exhaust systems from Yamaha Genuine Accessories, and continued collaboration with Dunlop Tyres via Ficeda Accessories.

YamaFest customer day – 29 March at Sydney Motorsport Park

As part of the expanded partnership, Yamaha and MotoSchool have also announced an exclusive Yamaha Customer Day on Sunday 29 March, using Sydney Motorsport Park’s Grand Prix Circuit.

The one-day event is set to bring together Yamaha riders from across the country in what’s described as a professionally run, inclusive and supportive environment. It will cater to all Yamaha road-going models, all rider experience levels, and riders seeking community and connection through the brand.

Importantly, the day will also mark the first public opportunity for customers to participate in the R-Experience and hire a YZF-R9.

It will cost just $599 for a day at the track including a YZ-FR9!

What they said

“What we’ve built with MotoSchool goes far beyond a traditional partnership,” said Mathew Ferry, General Manager Sales & Marketing, Land Mobility at Yamaha Motor Australia, adding that extending the partnership into 2026 and launching the YZF-R9 hire fleet and Customer Day would allow Yamaha to offer something truly unique to customers.

MotoSchool Managing Director and Founder Haydan Parker said the partnership was a blueprint for how brands can invest in the future of motorcycling, adding that it creates an environment where world-class machinery and elite coaching are no longer reserved for the few.
