Register for YAMAFEST at SMSP and you could win a Yamaha YZF-R9 that was ridden by Jack Miller at the pre-event parade at the 2025 Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix.
Track day riders heading to this year’s YAMAFEST on Sunday 29 March have an added incentive to get involved, with organisers offering the chance to win a Yamaha YZF‑R9 ridden and signed by Jack Miller.
The bike – used by the Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP Team rider during the pre-event parade at the 2025 Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix – will be given away as a lucky door prize at the inaugural YAMAFEST track day. The road-registerable machine is also fitted with an Akrapovic exhaust.
The competition is open to riders who register for the event before 20 March, with the draw taking place on the day.

YAMAFEST will be held at Sydney Motorsport Park on 29 March 2026 and is being run in conjunction with MotoSchool. Entry costs $299 per rider, while spectators can attend free of charge.
In a move designed to broaden the appeal of the event, organisers have confirmed that the track day is now open to riders of all road models from any brand – not just Yamaha machinery. That means anyone with a road- or track-ready motorcycle can take part and ride the circuit in a professionally run environment.
According to organisers, the day is aimed at bringing together riders of all experience levels in a welcoming, community-focused setting. Whether you’re new to track riding or a seasoned regular, the idea is to create an inclusive environment where enthusiasts can enjoy riding alongside like-minded circuit fans.
Participants will have the opportunity to ride the full Sydney Motorsport Park Grand Prix circuit on their own road or track bike, mingle with fellow riders and meet guest stars from the Yamaha R-Family. The event will also showcase the brand’s current R-Series lineup.
For riders who don’t want to take their own bike on track, MotoSchool will have a fleet of new supersport triples available for hire, including the latest YZF-R9 models. These machines are prepared specifically for track use and fitted with the latest Dunlop sports tyres.
YAMAFEST organisers say the event is designed as much around the community as it is around the riding itself. Riders can spend the day circulating the circuit, talking bikes in the pits and experiencing the atmosphere of a professionally run track event without the pressure of competition.
Spaces for riders are limited, and those hoping to win the Jack Miller-signed YZF-R9 must register before 20 March to be eligible for the lucky door prize draw.
The winner will be announced on the day at Sydney Motorsport Park. Terms and conditions for the competition are available via the event registration page.
