MOTO GUZZI TO OPEN NEW FACTORY AND MUSEUM

Moto Guzzi will celebrate its 105th anniversary by opening a new factory and museum during the biggest-ever Moto Guzzi World Days in Mandello del Lario.

Moto Guzzi will open a new factory and museum at its historic Mandello del Lario home during Moto Guzzi World Days from 3-6 September, 2026.

The event will celebrate the Italian manufacturer’s 105th anniversary and mark the completion of a major redevelopment of the factory site where Moto Guzzi motorcycles have been built continuously since 1921.

Located on the eastern shore of Lake Como, the renewed facility will combine motorcycle production, heritage displays, retail, hospitality and visitor experiences within the perimeter of the original factory.

The new factory will use modern manufacturing technology to produce the next generation of Moto Guzzi motorcycles while retaining the character and history of the Mandello del Lario site.

A new Moto Guzzi Museum will also open during the event, presenting more than a century of the company’s motorcycles, engineering, design and racing history.

The expanded site will include a large Motoplex Store, café, workshop, event spaces and a range of interactive displays and visitor attractions.

All facilities will be open to the public free of charge during Moto Guzzi World Days, although visitors will need to register before attending.

Moto Guzzi says the 2026 event will be the biggest gathering in the history of Moto Guzzi World Days, also known as Giornate Mondiali Moto Guzzi or GMG.

Tens of thousands of Moto Guzzi owners and motorcycle enthusiasts are expected to travel to Mandello del Lario for four days of motorcycles, live music, test rides and entertainment.

The traditional grand parade will take place on Saturday morning, with thousands of Moto Guzzi motorcycles expected to ride from Lecco to Mandello del Lario.

The parade traditionally attracts examples from throughout the company’s history, ranging from early models to the latest motorcycles in the current range.

Visitors will also be able to take part in free test rides, while Virgin Radio will host live music and entertainment throughout the weekend.

Street food, exhibitions and a full program of public activities will also be held around the factory and town.

Moto Guzzi was founded in 1921 and remains one of the few major motorcycle manufacturers to have continuously produced motorcycles at its original home.

Moto Guzzi World Days 2026 will run from Thursday, 3 September to Sunday, 6 September in Mandello del Lario, Italy.
