2027 Suzuki SV-7GX priced from $14,990 ride-away
The new Suzuki SV-7GX will arrive in Australia from January 2027, priced from $14,990 ride-away.
Suzuki’s new middleweight crossover combines its long-running 645cc V-twin with contemporary rider aids, touring equipment and a LAMS-approved option.
The Suzuki SV-7GX combines elements of a road bike and adventure tourer. It will be offered in full-power and LAMS-approved forms, with both versions carrying the same $14,990 ride-away price.
Touring-equipped SV-7GX+ variants will also be available for $16,490 ride-away.
The SV-7GX is powered by Suzuki’s familiar 645cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC 90-degree V-twin engine. The engine architecture has been used and progressively developed by Suzuki for more than 25 years, with the company promising smooth power delivery and a broad, linear spread of torque.
A ride-by-wire electronic throttle enables a suite of Suzuki Intelligent Ride System electronic rider aids.
The full-power model receives the three-mode Suzuki Drive Mode Selector, while Suzuki Traction Control offers three intervention levels plus an off setting. A bi-directional quickshifter is fitted as standard.
The engine is housed in a steel trellis frame and paired with conventional 41mm telescopic forks and an adjustable rear suspension unit. The SV-7GX rides on Pirelli Angel GT II sport-touring tyres.
Its upright riding position, three-position adjustable windscreen and 17.4-litre fuel tank are intended to make it suitable for commuting and longer rides. Knuckle covers and an integrated rear carrier are also standard.
Styling takes inspiration from Suzuki’s larger GSX-S1000GX, with a prominent front cowl, LED lighting and crossover proportions that sit somewhere between a sports tourer and an adventure bike.
Instrumentation is handled by a 4.2-inch full-colour TFT display with Suzuki Ride Connect+ smartphone connectivity.
When paired with a compatible phone, the system provides turn-by-turn navigation, notifications, weather information and ride data. A USB-C charging port is fitted for powering devices on the road.
The SV-7GX+ adds a selection of Suzuki Genuine Accessories aimed at touring riders, including heated grips, a taller touring screen, fuel-tank pad, soft side cases and the required mounting brackets.
Full-power SV-7GX and SV-7GX+ models will be offered in Pearl Brilliant White/Metallic Triton Blue or Glass Sparkle Black.
The LAMS-approved versions will be available in Pearl Brilliant White/Metallic Triton Blue or Pearl Matte Greige.
Pre-orders are open through the Suzuki Motorcycles Australia website and participating Suzuki motorcycle dealers.
