Harley-Davidson and MotoGP have officially announced the world’s first global bagger racing championship, unveiling the Harley-Davidson Bagger World Cup and its full 2026 calendar at Austria’s Red Bull Ring.
The six-round Harley-Davidson Bagger World Cup series will see heavily modified Harley-Davidson Grand American Touring machines line up on some of the sport’s most famous circuits across the US and Europe, bringing an American twist to international motorcycle racing.
Kicking off at the Circuit of the Americas in March, the championship will then travel to Mugello, Assen, Silverstone and Aragón, before concluding at the Red Bull Ring in September with a title-deciding round.

Harley-Davidson Chairman, President and CEO Jochen Zeitz described the new series as a “bold new era” for the brand.
“This series is about pushing limits, of our machines, our riders and our brand, on a global stage,” he said. “We’re proud to partner with MotoGP to bring this vision to life.”
Dorna Sports’ Chief Sporting Officer Carlos Ezpeleta added that the championship will offer something fresh for fans.
“The Harley-Davidson Bagger World Cup fulfills the brief,” Ezpeleta said. “It will be a fantastic addition to race weekends for fans onsite, while also connecting MotoGP to one of the most iconic lifestyle and cultural brands in the world.”
The idea was first teased at Le Mans earlier this year. With the official calendar now locked in, teams, riders and sponsors are being invited to get involved ahead of the 2026 debut season.
