Updated Honda CMX1100 cruiser range lands in Australia
Honda Australia has announced the arrival of its latest CMX1100 cruiser range, with three variants available and prices starting from $19,999.
The line-up consists of the standard CMX1100, CMX1100 DCT Special Edition and touring-focused CMX1100 DCT Tour, with all three powered by Honda’s 1084cc parallel-twin engine.
The CMX1100 comes equipped with selectable riding modes, Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) and cruise control as standard, while its low seat height, narrow profile and low centre of gravity are designed to make the big-bore cruiser manageable at low speeds.
There’s also an upgraded TFT display with Honda RoadSync smartphone connectivity, along with ABS, three-position wheelie control, radially mounted front brake calipers, under-seat USB-C charging and a pillion seat as standard.
“The CMX1100 range has proven itself across a variety of riding styles, whether it’s being used for commuting, weekend cruising or longer-distance touring,” said Honda Australia General Manager – Powersports and Products, Chris Schultz.
“The CMX1100, DCT Special Edition and DCT Tour each offer something different, giving riders the freedom to choose a model that suits their needs without compromising on performance, comfort or style.”
CMX1100
The standard CMX1100 is the most stripped-back model in the range and is aimed at riders looking for traditional cruiser styling combined with modern performance and electronics.
It uses the 1084cc parallel-twin engine and comes standard with selectable riding modes, HSTC and cruise control.
Priced from $19,999 RRP, the CMX1100 is available in Matte Ballistic Black Metallic.
CMX1100 DCT SPECIAL EDITION
The CMX1100 DCT Special Edition adds Honda’s Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT), eliminating the conventional clutch lever and allowing automatic or manually selected gear changes.
It also receives a distinctive styling package comprising a diamond-stitched seat, chrome bar-end mirrors, colour-matched headlight cowl, front fork boots and accent wheel colouring.
The CMX1100 DCT Special Edition is priced from $22,699 RRP and is available in Matte Ballistic Black Metallic.
CMX1100 DCT TOUR
At the top of the range, the CMX1100 DCT Tour combines the convenience of DCT with additional equipment intended to improve its long-distance touring ability.
It comes equipped with rigid saddlebags providing a combined 35 litres of storage capacity, along with a large front fairing and screen for increased wind protection.
The CMX1100 DCT Tour is priced from $23,699 and is available in Iridium Grey Metallic.
