MV Agusta unveils RVS#1

Marking the official launch of the RVS (Reparto Veicoli Speciali), a new ‘limited run’ division of MV Agusta, the Italian brand has unveiled its new RVS#1.

The RVS#1 is a unique bike built in MV Agusta’s new mechanical atelier, created by MV Agusta with CRC (Castiglioni Research Centre), a new division expressly dedicated to special bikes, completely hand-assembled.

Boasting 150hp (111kW), the RVS#1 will be the most powerful bike within the MV three cylinder range and weigh just 160 kg. It’s the new standard regarding power-weight ratio, linking outstanding thermodynamic efficiency and super sports performance. A unique bike in terms of equipment, quality of component construction, design and performance.

The MV Agusta three cylinder engine has evolved thanks to mechanical refinement and material improvements resulting in a new Euro IV compliant engine with improved efficiency and quieter operation. MV also developed specific engine ride modes to provide an ‘exclusive driving experience’.

The hand TIG welded chassis is light and designed specifically for dynamic performance. The steel framework has been completed and enhanced with new aviation grade aluminium lateral plates. On the right side is milled the RVS#1 logo, whilst other specific production techniques have been used with detailed titanium plates mounted on the tank and “honeycomb” stitching on the ergonomic seat.

A stunning Titanium exhaust – included in the racing supplied kit – has been designed together with SC-Project. Developed specifically for the racetrack it offers increased performance and a dramatic weight saving over the stock item.

New CRC designed componentry includes the dashboard support, footpeg units, engine protectors and racing handlebars with modified clutch and braking systems incorporating Braking’s Sunstar Batfly brake discs.

MV says the RVS#1 is strictly ‘built-to-order’. Dedicated to the true supporters of MV Agusta family, only current or previous customers are eligible to order the motorcycle through their MV Agusta dealership. The RVS #1 will be available to order until the end of June 2017. The RVS#1 comes with two years warranty and two years roadside assist.
