BMW Motorrad Vision CE Revealed at IAA Mobility 2025.
BMW Motorrad has pulled the covers off its latest concept at the IAA Mobility motorshow, the Vision CE – a radical look at the future of urban electric mobility.
The Vision CE takes the brand’s electric scooter development a step further, offering zero-emission performance with a striking new design philosophy. Most notable is its safety concept, which BMW says eliminates the need for a helmet or protective clothing. A reinforced metal tube ‘cage’ structure, combined with a special seat and seatbelt system, is designed to keep riders protected while giving them a greater sense of freedom and comfort.
This open design draws inspiration from BMW’s innovative C1 scooter of 2000, which used protective bodywork to achieve the same goal. With the Vision CE, BMW Motorrad says it is reimagining that idea with fresh styling and new technology.
The Vision CE also introduces a balancing function, allowing the vehicle to remain upright at a standstill. A long wheelbase, slim profile and use of aluminium detailing contribute to a stretched, dynamic look, complemented by matt white and black bodywork, neon red graphics and a matt-finish bench seat.
The concept builds on BMW’s existing electric models, the CE 04 – launched in 2022 and still a market leader in its segment – and the smaller CE 02, which arrived in 2024 with a more playful, casual approach to commuting.
According to BMW Motorrad, the Vision CE “redefines urban riding fun on two wheels” and points to a future where commuters can enjoy an easy, carefree experience on an intelligent, connected and emission-free machine.
