The Triumph Speed Twin 1200 TFC is a sharper, more exclusive take on the Speed Twin 1200 RS, limited to just 750 units worldwide.
Triumph Motorcycles has revealed the new Speed Twin 1200 TFC, a limited-edition Factory Custom model priced from $35,990 ride away in Australia.
Arriving in Triumph dealers from September in strictly limited numbers, the Speed Twin 1200 TFC is limited to just 750 units worldwide, with each bike individually numbered and supplied with a Certificate of Authenticity.
The new model is the fifth motorcycle to wear Triumph’s TFC badge, following the Thruxton TFC, Rocket 3 TFC and two editions of the Bobber TFC.
Based on the Speed Twin 1200 RS, the TFC lifts the spec with carbon-fibre bodywork, Öhlins suspension, clip-on handlebars, rearset footpegs, Akrapovič titanium silencers and a long list of premium details.
Triumph says the Speed Twin 1200 TFC represents the most exclusive expression of the Modern Classics range, combining sharper handling, more focused ergonomics and a high-end custom finish.
The bike is finished in Obsidian Gold, which combines a metallic black base with gold metal flakes. Other TFC touches include unique badging, a billet aluminium top yoke, machined bar-end mirrors, gold chain, gold anodised lower fork legs and blacked-out detailing throughout.
Gloss carbon-fibre parts include the front and rear mudguards, side panels with TFC branding and heel guards, while the one-piece bench seat is finished in black leather and high-grip sports suede with rib detailing and hand stitching.
The riding position is sportier than the standard Speed Twin 1200 RS, thanks to low-set clip-on handlebars, rearset footpegs and the billet aluminium top yoke.
Chassis upgrades include fully adjustable Öhlins suspension front and rear, with preload, compression and rebound damping adjustment. Braking hardware comprises Brembo Stylema calipers, a Brembo radial master cylinder and an adjustable MCS lever.
The TFC also runs lightweight seven-spoke cast aluminium wheels and Metzeler Racetec RR K3 tyres.
Power comes from Triumph’s 1200cc ‘High Power’ Bonneville parallel-twin, which produces a claimed 105PS at 7750rpm and 112Nm at 4250rpm. The engine retains the familiar 270-degree firing order and is paired with twin Akrapovič titanium megaphone silencers with carbon-fibre end caps.
Triumph Shift Assist is standard, allowing clutchless upshifts and downshifts through the six-speed gearbox.
The Speed Twin 1200 TFC also features three riding modes – Sport, Road and Rain – along with ride-by-wire throttle, Optimised Cornering ABS and Optimised Cornering Traction Control.
A round instrument dial houses a large LCD display and integrated colour TFT screen, while a USB-C charging socket is also fitted.
Modern lighting includes a round LED headlight, short-stem LED bullet indicators and compact bullet-style multifunction rear lights that combine indicator, brake and tail-light functions.
Triumph Chief Marketing Officer Nick Bell said the Speed Twin 1200 TFC takes the most performance-focused motorcycle in the Modern Classics range and lifts it with a higher level of detail, performance and exclusivity.
“The Speed Twin has always been admired for the way it blends timeless style, character and capability,” Bell said.
“With the TFC, we’ve pushed those qualities even further and the result is a motorcycle that feels even more dynamic, more exclusive and more rewarding to own and ride.”
Each Speed Twin 1200 TFC is supplied with a branded indoor cover and waterproof seat cover.
The new Triumph Speed Twin 1200 TFC is available to order now from $35,990 ride away, with Australian deliveries due to begin in September. Interested customers are advised to contact their nearest Triumph dealer as soon as possible.
