MV Agusta has revealed the limited-edition Brutale 1000 ABT, a 130-unit collaboration with German performance specialist ABT Sportsline.
Limited to just 130 individually numbered units worldwide, the Brutale 1000 ABT has been created to celebrate ABT Sportsline’s 130th anniversary, combining MV Agusta’s Italian design and motorcycle heritage with ABT’s high-performance automotive background.
The special-edition Brutale features a distinctive Nero Carbonio Metallizzato and Rosso Fuoco livery, with graphics applied using water-decal technology and sealed beneath the clear coat. One side carries the German flag and ABT’s “From the racetrack to the road” claim, while the other features the Italian flag and MV Agusta’s “Motorcycle Art” line.
Automotive-inspired detailing includes an Alcantara seat with honeycomb quilting, black Brembo Stylema front brake calipers with red logos and a carbon rear wheel rim cover inspired by turbofan-style racing wheels. MV Agusta says the rear rim cover is not just for show, with the component designed to reduce aerodynamic turbulence around the rear wheel.
Power comes from MV Agusta’s 1000cc inline four-cylinder engine, updated to Euro 5+ regulations and producing a claimed 201hp at 13,500rpm in standard trim. With the supplied racing kit, including an Arrow Titanium four-exit slip-on exhaust and dedicated ECU map, output rises to a claimed 208hp at 14,000rpm.
The engine also receives new camshafts, revised mapping, improved throttle sensitivity, optimised gearbox ratios and a shorter final-drive ratio.
Suspension is handled by electronically controlled Öhlins components, including a Nix EC upside-down fork, EC TTX rear shock and EC steering damper. Braking hardware includes Brembo Stylema monobloc calipers, while the dedicated racing kit also includes Braking Batfly front discs for track use.
Carbon fibre is used extensively, with 19 components made from the material, including airbox covers, air ducts, fuel-tank side panels, underseat panels, engine covers, heat shields, front spoiler and the rear wheel rim cover.
Each Brutale 1000 ABT will be delivered with a dedicated ownership package including the Arrow exhaust and ECU map, racing front discs, painted carbon pillion seat cover, swingarm pivot adjustment plates, dedicated bike cover, welcome kit and certificate of authenticity.
Italian pricing is listed at €40,990, with production due to start in the fourth quarter of 2026.
There are currently no plans to officially introduce the Brutale 1000 ABT to Australia, but Aussie buyers may be able to special-order one through MV Agusta Australia. If landed locally, Australian Road Rider has been advised to expect pricing to sit somewhere between $70,000 and $80,000.
Given the global production run is limited to just 130 units, availability is expected to be extremely tight.
