BMW MOTORRAD 200,000 SALES IN 2025

BMW Motorrad has recorded another strong global sales result, delivering more than 200,000 motorcycles for the fourth year in a row, despite what it describes as a challenging market environment.

BMW Motorrad confirmed total worldwide deliveries of 202,563 motorcycles in 2025, reinforcing the sustained demand for its premium model range. The milestone is particularly notable given ongoing headwinds including a global decline in the over-500cc segment, increased price competition, regulatory pressures and new customs rules in several markets.

BMW Motorrad said a number of countries achieved their best-ever annual results, including Italy, Spain, Japan, Australia, Portugal, Canada, Malaysia and the Netherlands. December was also a standout, with 15,109 motorcycles sold, making it the third-best December in the company’s history.

Europe remained BMW Motorrad’s strongest region, accounting for 118,814 units, slightly up on the previous year. Germany continued as the brand’s single largest market globally with 25,516 sales, followed by France (19,019), Italy (16,692) and Spain (14,005). Central Europe also posted a new high, recording 12,248 units.

Outside Europe, the USA (14,869), Brazil (14,488) and China (10,555) all made significant contributions to the overall result.

At a model level, BMW’s large-capacity boxer twins again led the way. The R 1300 GS Adventure topped the sales charts with 33,570 units, followed closely by the R 1300 GS on 32,555 units. The S 1000 RR was the third best-selling model overall with 11,643 units.

Middleweight models also performed strongly, with 41,166 sales across the segment, while Urban Mobility products – including the C 400 GT, C 400 X, CE 04 and CE 02 – combined for more than 18,400 units.

BMW Motorrad CEO Markus Flasch said the result reflected the brand’s focus on technology, product strength and market leadership, with confidence heading into 2026, including the upcoming launch of the new F 450 GS and the International GS Trophy in Romania later in the year.
