Tiger XC and XR line-up gets updated styling, enhanced power delivery, added tech and better handling
The all-new Tiger has shed 10kg from the previous generation thanks to a ‘range of developments’ across the engine, chassis and exhaust system. Triumph Motorcycles says this translates to ‘improved manoeuvrability and better off-road agility’.
Both XR and XC models include the Triumph Adaptive Cornering Lighting, updated cruise control, adjustable TFT display screen and backlit switchgear. The technology continues with Triumph Shift Assist for smooth clutchless shifting, and the all-new ‘Off-Road Pro’ riding mode on the XC models.
The Tiger retains its shaft-driven three-cylinder engine, but Triumph Motorcycles says the new model is tuned for more immediate power delivery lower in the rev range.
A new seat compound, revised handlebar positioning and updated frame geometry enhances rider ergonomics for a more commanding riding position and long-distance comfort.
The new Tiger 1200 XRt and XCa models will be first to arrive available from February with the remainder of the Tiger 1200 range arriving by mid-March.
