Urban Moto Imports has been appointed official distributor for ZXMOTO in Australia and New Zealand, with the first models expected from spring 2026.
Urban Moto Imports has announced a long-term distribution partnership with ZXMOTO, confirming it will represent the motorcycle brand in Australia and New Zealand.
The appointment will see Urban Moto Imports, or UMI, take responsibility for establishing ZXMOTO locally, with the first models expected to arrive in Australia and New Zealand from spring 2026.
ZXMOTO has gained attention internationally through its debut season in the FIM World Superbike Championship’s Supersport class, where it has already claimed three race wins. The company says its motorcycles are developed with a focus on performance, advanced technology, lightweight engineering and premium materials.
Founded by Zhang Xue, ZXMOTO is positioning itself as a broad-range motorcycle manufacturer with ambitions across road, racing and off-road segments. In addition to its current Supersport campaign, the company is also preparing to compete in the Dakar Rally and the Shanghai round of MXGP this September.
UMI CEO Joseph Elasmar said the distribution agreement was an important signing for the Melbourne-based business.

Elasmar said meeting ZXMOTO founder and CEO Zhang Xue also reinforced UMI’s confidence in the brand.

Urban Moto Imports celebrates 15 years as a motorcycle and powersports distributor in the region this year. The company has an established dealer network of more than 100 dealers across Australia and New Zealand, supported by national logistics, technical support, spare parts supply, warranty, marketing and customer support.
UMI says that network will provide the foundation for ZXMOTO customers to receive strong support from the brand’s launch.
ZXMOTO says it is developing motorcycles across multiple segments, including supersport, commuter and off-road models. The company uses components from suppliers including Bosch, Brembo, TAISKO and KYB, alongside its own engineering and development work.
