The MY26 Hayabusa: Updated colours and a limited-run Special Edition headline the latest evolution of Suzuki’s iconic hyperbike.
Suzuki has announced the arrival of its MY26 Hayabusa range in Australia, continuing the evolution of one of motorcycling’s most recognisable hyperbikes.
First introduced in 1999, the Suzuki Hayabusa has long set the benchmark for outright sport performance, particularly with its strong low- to mid-range horsepower and torque delivery. According to the model introduction material, the MY26 range builds on this legacy with further refinements to rideability and updated presentation, while retaining the proven platform that has defined the Hayabusa for decades.
For 2026, the focus is on smooth, predictable power delivery, strong acceleration and a refined riding experience across a wide range of conditions.
SPECIAL EDITION HEADLINES RANGE
The MY26 lineup is led by a new Special Edition model, distinguished by exclusive styling and premium detailing.
Finished in Pearl Vigor Blue, the Special Edition (GSX1300RRQZM6) is priced at $29,990 ride away and is due in Australia the first week of May.
Key visual highlights include:
- Unique body colour and graphics
- Matching wheel finish
- Premium 3D Suzuki tank emblem
- Special Edition badging
- Anodised exhaust end cap and heat guard detailing
- Seat cowl supplied as standard
Demand for the Special Edition appears strong, with the majority of the allocation already pre-sold. A limited number of just eight units will be available via online purchase through Suzuki’s website from 12:00pm AEST on Friday, 8 May 2026.
UPDATED STANDARD MODELS
Alongside the Special Edition, the standard MY26 Hayabusa returns with updated colour options and a ride-away price of $28,990.
New colourways include:
- Metallic Galaxy Grey / Candy Burnt Gold
- Candy Daring Red / Glass Sparkle Black
Both variants are expected to arrive in Australia in May 2026.
CONTINUING THE LEGACY
While the updates for MY26 are largely cosmetic, Suzuki says the latest Hayabusa continues to deliver the core attributes that have defined the model since its inception – strong acceleration, excellent control and a refined riding experience.
With a mix of iconic styling, proven performance and limited-edition appeal, the MY26 Hayabusa range looks set to maintain its status as one of the most recognisable and desirable hyperbikes on the market.
